As you might know, I spent two weeks in March down in Austin, TX, immersed in the chaos and glory of SXSW 2011. This was a truly intense, educational and inspiring experience, which allowed me to completely geek out with peers that both shared and challenged my existing views on digital, social, tech and marketing. I met many entrepreneurs & innovators, some of whom have become real friends and business partners. I tried out myriad new apps, behaviors and approaches to various parts of life and business, coming away with some valuable new tools and insights. My own entrepreneurial spirit was re-energized and I have transferred this experience into the work I am doing every day, here at Anthem Worldwide - Digital, bringing the new relationships, knowledge and clarity to clients and our own practice on a regular basis.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on our recap, in the presentation below, which includes several videos shot on the iPad 2 by my colleague, Mark Silva, SVP Emerging Platforms. Some highlights of the presentation are listed below.
Let's continue this conversation - I'd love to hear what trends you think will prosper and what apps/technologies are getting you excited these days.
Hope to see you in Austin next year!
I love having clients that truly value digital and are willing to explore and play with new technologies, apps and platforms when it's relevant to their goals. We (Real Branding) didn't put together the Instagram/Brisk partnership that Jamal Henderson discusses below, but we played a big part in building PepsiCo's first Foursquare campaign last year (more here). Check out Brisk's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/brisk) to see how well Brisk is engaging their audience.
We're also currently helping Lipton Iced Tea to integrate some pretty innovative digital tactics and techniques for consumer engagement. Check out their Facebook page (http://on.fb.me/LIT100natural), which has attracted more than 60,000 likes in the last month, since we launched it!
Enjoy!
If you want to read more, here's a Mashable post about the partnership.
Got my first email from 4square&7yearsago this morning, which sends you your foursquare check-ins from a year before, each day. Today's reminded me of a delicious sushi lunch and a great night with my old friend and entertainment industry mogul, Angel Sepulveda. This is kinda fun.

Nice job year-ago Tarah! That was a solid day. How about a repeat this year?
Coming up in the next week:1 Dog Run, 1 Tea Room, 3 Sandwiches, 1 Park, 1 Diner, 3 Sushis, 1 Burgers, 3 Cineplexes, 4 Coffee Shops, 1 Indian, 3 Movie Theaters, 1 Bed & Breakfast, 1 Basketball Court, 1 Salon / Barbershop, 2 Bars, 1 Vegetarian / Vegan, 1 Grocery / Supermarket, 1 Japanese, and 7 Corporate / Offices.

Wow, this looks amazing. Imagine being able to go to one place to relive your digital life - Tweets, Facebook posts, Foursquare check-ins, trave (TripIt), content sharing (YouTube, Flickr, Picasa), blog posts, and more. I'm smitten...but let's see how well it actually works. I'd love an invite, if anyone's got one.

The reigning abundance of food-related check-ins shows why I love Foursquare as a foodie - I use the Tips feature almost as much as Yelp these days.
